Being Prepared

Snow, snow and still more snow! This was the scene at 400 Ardmore on Day Two of the Blacksburg, VA episode of ABCs "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." Actions on the scene were fairly straightforward; Carol and her sons' belongings and furnishings were packed throughout the day, and then loaded onto moving trucks late in the evening to be stored through the duration of the project.

Several things necessary for tomorrow's demolition also occurred; power and water were shut off and gas tanks were removed. Throughout the night, crews will prepare the house for demolition. Additionally, the final filming of the interior "before" shots occurred.

Surrounding the site, tents were pitched, catering facilities were constructed, heaters were installed, streets were blocked, parking lots were marked and all check-in sites (media, VIP, volunteers and trades-people) were set-up. Ideally, by the time 7 a.m. arrives tomorrow, absolutely everything will be in place and ready to support this extreme effort!
