In November of 2005 an accidental fire occurred in the attic of this stately historic home. The complicated roof structure completely burned and the lower two floors sustained tremendous water and snow damage. A previous client of Building Specialists, Inc., ironically from a fire insurance repair in Roanoke Virginia, recommended us to the family for the restoration work.
BSI immediately began the process of demolition to the damaged areas of the home and rebuilding of the roof structure, soffits, and fascia. It was very important to keep the integrity of the original historic detailing, both inside and out.
