Completed in February, this home located on Stewards Knob in Roanoke County Virginia, proved to be one of the most challenging Building Specialists and our excavator has ever taken on. Russell Short Excavating cleared and graded approximately 4 acres of land on a 30% grade. Roughly 2,000 cubic yards of dirt (over 200 dump truck loads) was moved, which proved to be no easy task. Five hundred cubic yards of rock was hammered out and 500 feet of driveway had to be built to have access to the site. Oh, but the incredible views from this 5,600 square foot custom home Building Specialists designed and built are worth it.
