This custom designed home was built as a vacation retreat at Smith Mountain Lake. It sits on a point with long, sweeping views of the lake. To satisfy the owner’s desire for the home to have a rustic feel, natural hardwoods were used extensively throughout the 6,400+ sq. ft house and 3,160 sq. ft boathouse. Heavy timber framing supports the main living and entertaining spaces as well as the outdoor pergola. The use of dry-stacked Shenandoah stone on the exterior gives and added sense of permanence. Only the highest quality materials were used in the construction of this home. It is equipped with professional-grade kitchen appliances, custom light fixtures and a state-of-the-art audio and home security system.
