The Presidents Home at Roanoke College was in need of an update. The kitchen, powder room, laundry room, and back entrance had not been renovated since the 1960’s. The home needed a modern kitchen that would not only accommodate the President’s family, but also operate as a catering facility for college functions held at the home.
Due to an approaching alumni event, Building Specialists starting demolition and reconstruction in this beautiful historic home with a very short deadline. Great care was taken to protect adjacent areas of the home during the process. BSI implemented strict quality control measures for all subcontractors, knowing that the home was filled with valuable antiques and art work, to assure there were no mishaps. The school has hosted over 350 events from the new kitchen within its first year following the renovations.
