Credit Union Remodel In Roanoke, VA.

Situation:

The non-profit organization, West End Center a non-profit organization, owned property on Patterson Avenue in Roanoke that was dilapidated and unsafe. Freedom First Credit Union wanted to serve this underserved area of Roanoke with a branch that would be a gathering place for the community.

Solution:

Building Specialists teamed with architect Bill Hume of Interactive Design Group and began the process to raise the dilapidated building and construct a new branch that’s design which complimented the historic neighborhood. The branch was adjacent to the West End facilities and it was important to offer an outdoor area for local farmers to sell their goods as well as an indoor community room and kitchen for neighborhood events and meetings.
