Office Space Renovation In Roanoke, VA.

Situation:

Due to their continuing growth, Hayes, Seay, Mattern and Mattern, a prominent national Architectural and Engineering firm, wanted a new space to house their corporate headquarters. HSMM chose a 19th Century building on Roanoke’s historic Warehouse Row for their expansion. Sadly, the building was the worse for wear. Having been vacant for several years, it had gone through a series of renovations leaving little of the original building’s character visible. HSMM wanted to restore the integrity of the building as well as create a compelling showpiece for the company’s corporate headquarters.

Solution:

Building Specialists was charged with renovating the building to restore its historical character while providing the infrastructure necessary to create the modern office environment HSMM envisioned. The interior renovations were extensive: new office partitions, custom casework, structural repairs and preservation, and the addition of custom glass walls. Exterior work included repointing brick, a fresh coat of paint, custom railings, and a new Architectural Review Board approved storefront, all combining to secure the building as an anchor for Warehouse Row for at least another 100 years.
