A local architect had always envisioned a new, functional kitchen for his family that kept the nostalgia of his 1928 era home.
The Owner drafted new plans with all of the vintage details included and BSI performed a complete transformation inside of the existing space. Special care was taken to remove the asbestos flooring and minimize overall disruption to the rest of the home. A combination of new, but retro styled appliances and fixtures paired with a restored 1950’s stove give a distinct vintage feeling to the kitchen. Additional matching cabinets and countertops were added to the adjacent enclosed porch for much needed pantry storage. The final project resulted in a space that matches the character of the home while providing modern amenities for cooking and cleaning.
